Stock Matthiola Incana Cream
Never Without
A beautiful buttery cream stock that transforms any garden inspired hand bouquet. I grow trays and trays of these as once you cut the blooms then that’s it. Not a very productive flower, one cut flower but ohh so gorgeous with a divine scent and must for any garden or potager.
Sow from late winter onwards, surface sow in 40 or 15 cells trays. They grow quite quickly and never pinch out the tip. When the plants are large enough to prick out, it is here you will find two distinct colours in the seedlings. Light green plants should be kept as these will be doubles, the dark greens are the singles and should be discarded if you do not want these. Always so more than you need. Acclimatise before planting out after all danger of frosts have been. Try succession sowing 2 weeks apart, that way you’ll have stocks for a lot longer.
Approx 40 seeds
Height 75cms
