Sweet Pea Piggy Sue
One of my ultimate favourite peas, such a delicate and barely there tone to the petals. As the name would suggest it is coloured in the most beautiful blush at the edges of each petal on a cream background. As each bud forms it is a delicious coffee, blush picotee and sometimes I pick them at this stage, they are just too good not too and both are beautiful in any bouquet.
Bred by Keith Hammett and affectionally named after a pig was rescued from farrowing crates. Such a beautiful sweet pea that I encourage you to save your own seeds once the season ends.
Sow in late autumn or from January. Plant out after all dangers of frost 8cm apart. Sweet peas will need need vertical support to grow up, tie in at regular intervals. They are hungry plants so water well and feed often.
Each packet contains 12 seeds.
